How to Opt Out of Discord's Arbitration Clause - PSA for US discord users: Discord updated their forced arbitration clause (https://discord.com/terms/#16), you can opt out by emailing your username & ID FROM YOUR DISCORD EMAIL to "arbitration-opt-out@discord.com" and explicitly requesting to opt out within 30 days of April 15
new users can opt out within 30 days of account creation.
this is important because as it stands, the discord TOS has you waive your right to a jury trial, including class action suits
forced arbitration is a predatory practice by companies to erode individual legal rights
i havent seen anything else on here talking about this so please share

i dont think ill be able to explain it perfectly, but, discord is basically making it so you couldnt pursue legal action against them (unless you opt out). rn its doesnt seem that important, but just in case in the future something happens, its good to have that open
